I’ve had the privilege of serving on Callander Council for the past four years, including as Deputy Mayor.

I got involved because I care about where Callander is headed. I believe municipal government works best when there is a clear plan, good information and people willing to keep asking the right questions.

Outside of Council, I work in marketing and strategy. A lot of my work is about understanding how people make decisions and what makes communities and destinations more attractive.

That background has shaped how I approach the job. I tend to look at how individual decisions fit together, whether we’re talking about growth, the waterfront, infrastructure or how residents experience the community every day.

Callander has also been part of my family’s story for a long time. My family has lived here for more than 25 years, and our connection to the area goes back generations. My great-great-grandfather, Thomas Darling, was one of the early logging pioneers in the area.

That history matters to me. So does what comes next.

I want Callander to remain a community people are proud to call home. I want it to grow carefully, protect what makes it special and be ready for the challenges ahead.

That’s why I’m asking for the opportunity to serve again.
